This is the third time I have created a custom bass body out a plank piece of wood. The basswood was easy to work with. I will be purchasing from these guys in the future!!

Absolutely loved the way this board came out! It’s the first edge grain I’ve done. After glue up, planing, and cutting to final dimensions on the table saw, sanded starting at 80 grit and working up to 320 grit. Routed all sides with a 1/4” round over, sanded those, water popped, final sand, then finished with cutting board oil. Installed some non-slip brass feet. Currently I’m letting her soak in some board butter to seal the wood grain. I made this as a gift for a friend who’s been nothing but supportive of my woodworking journey and I am excited to see their reaction! I’ll continue to buy from exotic wood zone!

Wood arrived splitted. Packer needs to check before sending. I called, but they said they could not send another due to it being rare to get. I decided to keep to use for another project. Originally was to use it for a pepper mill. Disappointed.

Order shipped and received in good time. Didn’t notice any defects in the piece. Milled very nicely and ready to use. Only thing I noticed was that there’s not birdseye present.
